Dr. Andreas Schulze-Bonhage: Introducing cenobamate into clinical patient care

Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Schulze-Bonhage is the Head of the Epilepsy Center at University Hospital Freiburg’s Neurocenter in Germany. He has an MD from Münster University and has been Professor in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology Habilitation (PhD) since 2004, University of Freiburg. He has established and directs the Epilepsy Center at Freiburg, a leading European Reference Center, and has more than 25 years of experience and involvement in out-patient and inpatient care of epilepsy patients across all ages.

Prof. Schulze-Bonhage has been PI in over 50 multicenter pharmacological epilepsy trials and numerous neuromodulation studies. He serves on editorial boards of journals like ”Epilepsia” and ”Seizure” and is a member of several prestigious scientific organizations. His research interests include electrophysiological and imaging studies in epilepsy, seizure detection and prediction, and electrophysiological correlates of cognitive functions. He has published over 450 original articles in top peer-reviewed journals.
